Linden Hall Offers Elite Training to Students
and Outside Clientele

January 2016

Linden Hall is the oldest, independent, college-preparatory, day and residential school for girls in grades 6-12 in the United States. As an academically rigorous community where girls are valued and known, Linden Hall provides an environment that fosters curious and independent leaders who are prepared to contribute as compassionate global citizens.

The Equestrian Education Program offers lessons, boarding, training, and sales to avid horsemen, novice riders and those returning to the sport. Whether a young woman is looking to compete internationally or to saddle up for the first time she will find a home in The Stables at Linden Hall. Students and outside clientele alike are welcome to board their horse on campus, ride one of the School’s experienced show horses, or ship-in for lessons with Ms. Gillian Beale King, Director of Equestrian Education or Ms. Hannah Kreider, Assistant Director of Equestrian Education, an experienced Hunter and Jumper rider.

With extensive knowledge in the education, training, and showing process, Beale King has worked with horses and riders of all levels and disciplines. She incorporates both American and European training philosophies into her coaching program and has trained among top international show jumping and three-day event riders. In addition, she continues to train and ride out of her own Main Line Sport Horses, LLC, in Malvern, PA. Following in the family tradition, Beale King brings a professional attitude and love of the horse to her riding and teaching.

Her hands-on equestrian upbringing, top class international training, and focused innovation allow her to train, compete, coach, and manage with the utmost success. Her training philosophy emphasizes that in order to attain one's equestrian aspirations; one needs to become not just a trainer, not just a rider, but a horseman too. Beale King enthusiastically works with horses and riders of all levels from Lead Line to Pony Jumpers to A/O Hunters.

Facilities at Linden Hall include 49 acres, a competition level 80’x200’ indoor ring with a grand viewing deck and beautiful lounge, a large outdoor ring with all-weather footing and a gazebo for spectators, a cross country course, a beautiful 20-stall center aisle stable and lush paddocks with run-in sheds. Other amenities include a heated tack room and lounge, a heated inside wash stall, and a washer and drier for boarders’ use.

Linden Hall’s Summer Equestrian Camp encompasses an array of riding and horsemanship learning opportunities designed to enhance and enlighten both the experienced and the novice rider’s Equestrian knowledge.
